WELDER/FABRICATOR Candidates should have the ability to read and understand blueprints, precisely measure and cut materials to specifications and weld using the correct materials to bond the metals together.
PAINTER/GENERAL LABOR Candidates should have knowledge of different types of spray equipment, and the ability to maintain paint related equipment. Familiarity with two part epoxies, urethane, enamels, and water-borne paint systems and the ability to brush and roll a variety of paints and produce high-quality finishes is useful.
ELECTRICIAN Candidates should have the ability to bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit. Install electrical motors, generators, and pneumatic electrical control systems, and safely maintain, install, troubleshoot and repair electrical power, control systems and equipment.
MECHANIC Candidates should have the ability to change injectors, blowers, turbos, power assemblies, main generators, engines, cams, bearings, and governors, rebuild and perform repairs on locomotive engines as needed.
